Who should not take probiotic supplements?
People who are taking any type of immunosuppressant medication (HIV patients) should not take probiotic supplements in any form unless directed by the physician. Probiotic supplements can interact with the medications, causing infection or pathogenic colonization in immunocompromised patients.
